“Azerbaijan traditionally is a very important economic partner for us,” said Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava after the meeting of Azerbaijan-Georgia joint intergovernmental commission, APA reports.
She noted that Azerbaijan became the number one investor of Georgia in recent years and invested total of USD 2,6 bln. in Georgia during these years.
According to N. Turnava, Azerbaijan is one of Georgia’s top 10 trade partners and despite the pandemic during the first eight months of the current year, it ranks 5th place for the volume of foreign trade turnover with Georgia.
N. Turnava stressed that discussion is held for increasing trade turnover between the two countries.
