On the sidelines of the 74th session of the UNGA session, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani, APA’s Georgian bureau reports.
Emphasizing the strategic partnership and good neighborly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, the Ministers discussed the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Discussing the current issues, the Ministers welcomed the resumption of meetings within the framework of the Georgian-Azerbaijani Border Delimitation and Demarcation Commission and the parties' readiness to resolve the issue through a constructive approach. The work of the expert groups on the uncoordinated sections of the Georgian-Azerbaijani border has been positively evaluated.
The Ministers appreciated highly the cooperation of the two countries in the implementation of international transit and energy projects.
Foreign Ministers also discussed the organizational issues of trilateral meeting of MFA heads of the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey to be held in Tbilisi in October
