Azerbaijani FM: “We do not see constructive steps from the Armenian side, the restoration of communications delays”

“As you know, a year has passed since the beginning of the counter-attack operation. As a result of this operation, the territories of Azerbaijan which were under occupation for about 30 years have been liberated,” said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the joint press conference held with his Czech counterpart, APA reports.

He noted that Azerbaijan liberated its territories and restored its territorial integrity in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.

The Minister noted that Azerbaijan is implementing trilateral statements: “There are still open issues in some fields, I informed my Czech counterpart in this regard. Despite Azerbaijan follows conditions, we do not see constructive steps by the Armenian side. . I noted the fact that Armenia has not provided mine maps for 8 months, and has provided low quality and a small number of maps.”

The head of the MFA also brought to attention that as a result of Armenia’s not providing mine maps many Azerbaijani citizens stepped on mines and died, also delays the process of reconstruction works in the liberated territories: “According to the trilateral statement, restoration of communications in the region has been envisaged, however, there is also delays.”
