Bulgarian FM: Energy is one of the important points in our relations with Azerbaijan

“Energy is one of the most important points in our relations with Azerbaijan,” Bulgarian counterpart Ekaterina Zakharieva said at the joint press conference following the meeting with Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov.

She stated that Azerbaijan is one of the important partners for Bulgaria: “The pipeline, built between Greece and Bulgaria, allows to transfer gas from Azerbaijan to Europe. We think about how to develop relations after 2020. We have a network to deliver Azerbaijani gas to the entire Balkans region. There are opportunities to develop relations in the field of tourism. Last year, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria amounted to $ 34 million."
