"The shelling of civilians of Azerbaijan with ballistic missiles by the Armenian army was not covered by international media at all," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Media Forum of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-speaking States (Turkic Council) in Istanbul, APA's bureau in Turkey reports.

Turkish President stressed that international media outlets, which speak on freedom of speech and objectivity, acted as the official news agency of Armenia during the Second Karabakh War and criticized it.

“Karabakh War is neither the first nor the last example for realities regarding our countries and the Turkic World. We witness similar attitudes, especially so-called “genocide” claims, which target our history, national security, and values of our people,” stressed Erdogan.

Mr. Erdogan emphasized that issues of impacts of disinformation and prevention of them will especially be discussed in the Media Forum of the Turkic Council: “We should not rely on those, who want to teach us a conscience lesson in the field of media, either as we do not rely on foreign countries in the defense industry. The result, which has been produced from our painful experiences, is that. As the Turkic world, we should step together in this direction too.”
