Event on state of environment and natural resources in Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh economic regions held

An event on "State of environment and natural resources in Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh economic regions of Azerbaijan" has been held at ADA University, APA reports.

Chairman of the Center of Analysis of International Relations Farid Shafiyev noted that during occupation period of 30 years ecological terrorism was also committed in Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh economic regions besides other crimes.

Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Vugar Karimov noted nature, biodiversity, whole ecosystem of the region was seriously damaged as a result of the occupation, it led to degradation of the environment in many cases, at the same time ecological balance was destroyed as a result of ruthless exploitation of natural resources.
