"Establishment of peace in the Southern Caucasus region stipulates implementation of joint economic projects," said Georgian Deputy PM, Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum panel entitled "Southern Caucasus: New opportunities for regional peace and cooperation", APA reports.

He noted that regional countries should adapt to environment, which changes dynamically regarding foreign security challenges and should react it rapidly: "It is a very unique region and it has great opportunities for development of geopolitically and geostrategically-significant infrastructure projects. Improvement of regional cooperation is a priority for Georgia and I believe for our neighboring countries. We have excellent relations with Azerbaijan, we are strategic partners. Turkey is our strategic partner. We also improve our historically close relations with Armenia. We have an amazing practical experience for cooperation among Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey. We collectively participate in Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC), Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK), Souther Gas Corridor, TANAP, and TAP projects and it is a practical demonstration of cooperation. That is why we send a message to others in the region, the Armenian counterparts that we are ready for working with Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia in a trio format... There is no stability in the region without economically important projects. There is no development and welfare without stability."
