Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov drew attention to Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan, its unconstructive approach to resolving the conflict over the past 28 years, its crimes against the civilian population of Azerbaijan during the 44-day war, and war and crimes against humanity during his speech at a special meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, APA reports.

Noting the counter-offensive carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces on September 27 last year in response to the Armenian military provocations, the Minister stressed that as a result, Azerbaijan has restored its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He also stressed the importance of implementing the trilateral statements signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia on November 10, 2020 and January 11, 2021.

It was noted that at this stage, with the elimination of the occupation factor, there is an opportunity to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, based on respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders of both countries. In this regard, they also touched upon the possibility of signing a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
