Iran applauds Azerbaijan’s victory over Armenia

“We have always been against the occupation of the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” said the spokesperson of Iranian MFA Said Khatibzadeh at the press conference held today, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.

S. Khatibzadeh noted that over the past 30 years Iran was always been against the occupation of Azerbaijani territories: “We approached respectfully to the protection of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and supported its territorial integrity. Therefore we congratulate this country on the occasion of the liberation of territories from the occupation and we applaud the anniversary of this victory today. The most important issue in this condition is to eliminate some misunderstandings occurred in the press and public.”
