“Iran can not put Azerbaijan on “target board” because of its relations with Israel. I, personally do not have such expectation,” said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan while responding to questions of the journalists on military exercises conducted by Iran on the border with Azerbaijan, APA’s Turkey bureau reports.
Mr. Erdogan noted the number of Azerbaijanis living in Iran today.
“Of course it is thought-provoking. It is not so easy. The taken step is wrong. I think that Iran’s new leadership will not continue this mistake,” stressed Erdogan.
