Kokand city of Uzbekistan has been declared tourism capital of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking Countries (Turkic Council), APA reports citing governmental portal of Uzbekistan.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Uzbekistan Aziz Abduhakimov has nominated Kokand city. The suggestion has been supported by participants and Kokand has been declared the first tourism capital of the Turkic Council.
The symbolic key has been presented to the head of the municipality of Kokand Marufjon Usmanov.
