“The elections held today in Armenia, of course, are the right of the Armenian people to choose. But I hope that the leadership that comes to power after the elections will learn from the mistakes made and understand that the only way to peace in the region is to establish good relations with neighbors," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this in an interview with journalists, APA's local bureau reports.
He noted that there is an opportunity to implement many projects, and Armenia will get the greatest benefit from this: “Due to the erroneous policy pursued in the past, Armenia lagged behind other countries of the South Caucasus in development. Armenia should give up its hatred and think about establishing good relations with its neighbors."
M. Cavusoglu stressed that in this case, a gradual normalization of relations with Armenia is possible.
