PACE adopts a report entitled "Humanitarian consequences of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan"

The report prepared by the Irish MP Paul Gavan, the rapporteur of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Population of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, was adopted today at the PACE autumn session, APA's British bureau reports.

The report includes the the themes of dead, missing and wounded, prisoners of war, alleged captives, mines and unexploded ordnance, IDPs, cultural heritage, etc..

The report also makes recommendations for achieving short-term and long-term humanitarian results and taking a step towards a process of peace and reconciliation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The report called on the international community, including the Council of Europe, to help both countries.

During the discussion, Austrian MP Stefan Schennak called on Armenia to provide Azerbaijan with mine maps.
