Russia's largest mobile operator, Megafon apologized to Azerbaijani people, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
Head of the press service of Megafon Yuri Mikhalchuk has released a video message on social media.
He apologized to the Azerbaijani people for mistakenly showing the separatist so-called "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" as an independent state on the website of the mobile operator. Michalcuk said that the mistake has already been corrected.
Despite the recognition of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, mobile operator Megafon has offered communication services for Karabakh separatists and indicated so-called “Nagorno Karabakh” as an independent state in their website. Azerbaijanis living in Russia have urged compatriots to refuse the use services of Megafon on “Vkontakte” and other social networks.
