A provocation was committed against Azerbaijan on the Russian federal TV channel TVC, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

The news program broadcast on the channel aired a report on the part of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan Which is under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers.

Nagorno-Karabakh has been presented as a separate country in the report, authored by journalist Vera Kuzmina. The report, which includes provocative thoughts against Azerbaijan, also includes interviews with Armenian residents in Khankendi.

In the report, Kuzmina questioned the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and called Azerbaijan's participation in the 44-day Patriotic War a provocation.

Later, the journalist said that most Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh wanted to get a Russian passport, not an Armenian one. Armenian residents of Khankendi say in interviews that they want to be Russian citizens for security and they want Karabakh to be part of Russia. Thus, there are three points in this provocative report that was prepared by the Armenian lobby in Russia: Presentation of Nagorno-Karabakh as a separate “state” by the journalist, exaggeration of the Armenian population's desire to obtain Russian citizenship, and assessment of Azerbaijan's 44-day Patriotic War as a provocation.

Note that TVC is the channel of the Moscow Government (Mayor’s office).
