Secretary General of BSEC PA: “Azerbaijan faces double standards”

“It is envisaged to export natural gas produced in the Caspian Sea to European markets via TAP and TANAP pipelines,” Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) Asaf Hajiyev said at at a debate during the XVIII Baku Summit of Heads of State and Government of countries of the Non-Aligned Movement Movement.

A. Hajiyev stated that there are 4 mln refugees and IDPs in the Black Sea region: “In Azerbaijan 1 out of 10 people is a refugee. This problem should be solved. Unfortunately, Azerbaijan faces double standards.”

A. Hajiyev noted that the principle of territorial integrity is one of the main principles among Bandung principles: “We can cope with problems together. The damage caused by the refugee problem to the world economy is $ 500 billion. We have to solve this problem. It is our responsibility to young generation.”
