Uzbekistan decides to become member of Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States

Uzbekistan has decided to become a member of Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking (Turkic Council) States, said Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey APA reports citing Anadolu Agency.

According to him, Turkmenistan intends to become a member of the Turkic Council as an observer.

Head of Turkish MFA noted that the opening of European Center of Turkic Council will take place at Budapest, the capital city of Hungary on September 19.

Note that VII Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States will be held on October 14-15 in Baku.

Remind that the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) is an international and intergovernmental organization, promoting comprehensive cooperation between Turkic speaking states.

The organization was established in accordance with the Nakhchivan Agreement signed by heads of Turkic speaking states in the Summit held in Nakhchivan on October 3, 2009. Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey are founding member states of the organization.
