Vugar Karimov: "Sarsang water reservoir became potential source of danger for 400,000 people as technical service was not delivered"

"Sarsang water reservoir, constructed over Terterchay, has a capacity of 560 million cubic meters and considered for watering an area of more than 100,000 hectares, became a potential source of danger for 400,000 people, living in surrounding areas, as technical service was not delivered," said Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Vugar Karimov at an event on "The state of the environment and natural resources in the Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh economic regions of Azerbaijan", APA reports.

According to Deputy Minister, the release of water from the reservoir in the winter months without not taking into account seasonal needs caused residential stations, agricultural areas, and communication lines to remain under water.
