Work on obtaining observer status by Turkic Council in UN General Assembly is underway

“Our today’s meeting coincides with the 10th anniversary of the agreement on the establishment of Turkic Council in Nakhchivan,” the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov said at the meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers of Turkic Council held in Baku, APA reports.

He said that the activities of the Turkic Council are based on mutual trust: “The meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Turkic Council promotes the development of cooperation based on equality, reliability and mutual trust. The work of the Turkic Council in obtaining the observer status at the U.N. General Assembly continues.

The Minister noted that the Turkic Council Summit held in Baku will be dedicated to the development of small and medium-sized businesses: "The Turkic Chamber of Commerce was established in Kazakhstan in May 2019 and the opening ceremony was held in June in Istanbul."

Chingiz Aydarbekov said that the Kyrgyz Republic will contribute to the development of cooperation in the Turkic Council.
