French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian’s upcoming visit to Azerbaijan will be a contribution to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR), French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Aurelia Bouchez said on Thursday, APA reports.
The French foreign minister will pay a visit to Azerbaijan in late May. He is also expected to visit Georgia and Armenia.
The ambassador said that France and the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic were linked common features in various areas, in particularly, in the field of education.
“ADR attached great importance to education and achieved great success in this field. Even today, we are seeing how Azerbaijan attaches importance to the field of education. France, in turn, is very happy to contribute to the development of education in Azerbaijan,” Bouchez added.
