An agreement on gas exchange between Azerbaijan, Iran, and Turkmenistan was signed in Ashgabat today, the press service of the Iranian President said,
APA reports.

The agreement was signed after a meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi.

The agreement was signed by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji.

According to the agreement, 1.5-2 billion cubic meters of gas will be transported from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan via Iran annually.
