From November 30 to December 1, 2021, the 9th Meeting of the Parties to the Second Protocol of 1999 to the Hague Convention on UNESCO Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict was held, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
On the sidelines of the meeting, elections of the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict were held o November 30, 2021. The Republic of Azerbaijan was also nominated for membership in the Committee and the Republic of Azerbaijan was elected a member of the Committee for the next 4 years with the support of the absolute majority of the states participating in the voting.
