FM: "Turkey's political and moral support played an irreplaceable role in gaining glorious Victory"

"As you know, conflict, which started at the end of 80s of the previous century with Armenia's obvious territorial claims against Azerbaijan's historical territories, provocations, terror acts, resulted in military aggression against Azerbaijan. 20% territories of Azerbaijan, recognized by international unity, were occupied as a result of Armenian military aggression for about 30 years, more than one million Azerbaijanis were expelled from their native lands, about 4,000 compatriots, whose fate is not clear until today, became missing," said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov while his speech at a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Turkic Council in Istanbul, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told APA.

Mr. Bayramov noted that from the first hours of the war, brotherly Turkey has supported Azerbaijan: "Political and moral support given by Turkey at the highest level during 44 days has played an irreplaceable role in achieving the glorious Victory. During this period, my brother Mevlut Cavusoglu has visited Azerbaijan 5 times. Having this opportunity, I would like to express my gratitude to Turkey in the person of foreign minister Mevlu Cavusoglu. Turkic Council has issued several statements supporting Azerbaijan during 44 days of the war. We thank both the Turkic Council and all friendly countries, that supported us, for this".
