German Ambassador: "Azerbaijan is the most important trading partner of Germany in South Caucasus"

"We will never forget Azerbaijan's great support to the military flights of Germany in the decisive days of evacuation flights from Afghanistan", said the German ambassador to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig in his appeal regarding the German Unity Day, APA reports.

The ambassador noted that the next year, 30 years pass from the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany. After Azerbaijan gains independence, Germans and Azerbaijanis have got an opportunity to formalize long historical relations: "30 years ago, on February 20, 1992, The Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Azerbaijan have agreed to establish mutual diplomatic relations.

"Azerbaijan is the most important trading partner of Germany in South Caucasus. In the future, as renewable energy sources gain importance in the future, our countries will closely cooperate for the sustainable energy policy", said the German ambassador.
