"Everyone is interested in opening communications in the South Caucasus," Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a trilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Sochi, APA's Russia bureau reports.
According to him, Russia is also interested in opening communications in the region.
"We are close neighbors. We have a large trade turnover. We agree to start work on delimitation and demarcation of borders in the near future. Of course, we will talk about it today. Obviously, this is a difficult issue, it dates back to the Soviet era, when the borders were not there. We have an opportunity to talk about it," he said.
