Raisi to Cavusoglu: Relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey have importance for Iran

"Relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with Azerbaijan and Iran are more than neighboring relations. These relations have deep ties, ancient religious and cultural roots", said Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi while receiving Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, APA's Tehran bureau reports.

I.Raisi said that the development of relations between Iran and Turkey, especially the development of relations in the field of trade and economy is beneficial for nations of both countries: "Iran and Turkey should thoroughly develop relations in all areas by completing road maps in order to develop cooperation".

Iranian President noted that having close relations between two countries is beneficial for peace and stability in the region: "Regional cooperations between two countries should be reached the international level. Taking into consideration of the important place of both countries, such cooperations may influence processes in the world".

I. Raisi noted that Iran is ready to increase cooperation with Ankara in the fight against terrorism and organized crime.

Iran’s President spoke about the development of trade relations with the countries of South Caucasus and stability in the region:"The relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with Azerbaijan and Turkey are more than neighborly relations. These relations have deep ties and ancient religious and cultural roots.”

Head of the Turkish MFA M. Cavusoglu noted that his country is interested in increasing of cooperation level with Iran: “Turkey is determined to further increase cooperation with Tehran.”
