Russia can help start talks with Azerbaijan and Armenia on the demarcation of the border, APA reports.

The statement came from the Russian Foreign Ministry on the occasion of the anniversary of the trilateral statement of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia dated November 10, 2020.

"The November 10 statement contains a very important provision - the opening of all economic and transport blockades in the region. We believe that the delimitation of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border for further demarcation can help solve the problem in the long run. Russia is ready for any consultative action, to provide the necessary cartographic materials and to share its rich experience of demarcation," the statement reads.

The ministry further notes that Russian border guards are serving in the most problematic parts of the border to prevent incidents. The coordinators of the border agencies of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia have provided uninterrupted exchange of information. The activity of the trilateral group is also one of the key elements for the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations.
