"We support consistent implementation of the trilateral statements dated November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021", said an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova at the briefing in a response to the question about that Armenia will have customs control on the road to connect Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR), APA's Moscow bureau reports.

According to her, the trilateral statements also include the opening of economic and transport relations in the South Caucasus region.

“This important task is carried out by a trilateral working group with Deputy Prime Ministers of the three countries. Complex issues related to this were discussed during the visits of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk to Baku and Yerevan. We see good perspectives for reaching an agreement on the opening of transport and economic communication in the region. Of course, taking into account the balance of interests of all parties ... As well as, we consider that international transportation on the opened routes will be carried out on the basis of international agreements and national legislation of each of the parties,” M. Zakharova noted.
