Assistant to Azerbaijani President: Citizens who suffered from Armenian aggression to be provided with new homes

“Destruction caused by the Armenian aggression in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan will be assessed separately within a 30-year process,” said Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev at today’s briefing.

He noted that when Azerbaijan raised this issue before, there was no possibility to enter those territories, and it was difficult to reveal it on the basis of real facts.

“Now those territories have been liberated from the occupation. The latest order of the President covers the assessment and elimination of damage caused to the civilians, state property, as well as infrastructure facilities, also subjects of entrepreneurial activity as a result of the aggression of armed forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan against the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan starting from September 27. “

Assistant to Azerbaijani President noted that local appraisal companies will also be involved in the assessment process: “Independent institutions, international institutions will also be involved in the assessment. The figures regarding the damage will be presented to the international community by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

H. Hajiyev also stressed that the citizens affected by Armenian aggression will be provided with new houses, if necessary, their houses will be overhauled.
