Azerbaijan’s SBS discloses number of mines and ammunition found in liberated border areas

Azerbaijan’s State Border Service (SBS) has disclosed the number of mines and ammunition found in liberated border areas, State Border Service told APA.

As a result of search activities carried out by border guards along the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, in general in 211 hectares territory, 77 hectares of the liberated area of the Azerbaijani-Iranian border, 1370 anti-personnel mines, 1438 anti-tank mines, 218 unexploded ordnance, 50 weapons and ammunition, 9560 different caliber ammunition, explosives, incendiary devices were found.

Currently, measures on revealing and neutralizing mines and unexploded ordinances in the liberated territories are underway.
