The “Azerbaijan Caspian Sea Shipping” CJSC (ASCO) implements necessary preventative measures in regard to the coronavirus (“2019-nCoV”) spread in China, ASCO told “APA-Economics”.

The ASCO’s Quality, health, labor safety, and environmental protection (QHSE) department has informed seamen by means of a radiogram about symptoms of coronavirus and ways of protection from the virus. A specially prepared “Safety bulletin” regarding the virus has been sent to e-mail addresses of the employees for the purpose of awareness-raising.

The report says in the framework of the preventive measures, an instruction has been given to provide members of staff of the ferry-boats voyaging in the direction of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan with such protective appliances as gloves, respirators, goggles, and work overalls.

Along with all these, the strict compliance with sanitary and hygienic regulations and rules and disinfection regime is kept under control on the ships.
