Rashid Ismayilov of Azerbaijani origin appointed president of Russia’s Beeline Company

Former deputy minister of Communication and Mass Information of the Russian Federation Rashid Ismayilov has been elected president of VimpelCom Company (Beeline brand), APA-Economics reports citing TASS.

R. Ismayilov has signed three years’ contract until August of 2023.

He was deputy minister of communication from 2014 until 2018, thereafter he worked in the position of general director of Nokia Company in Russia. Beginning from 2019, he headed the Center for Data Processing and Automation that applies traffic filtration systems in the framework of the Runet Continuous Operation Law.

Note that R. Ismayilov was born in Baku on November 2, 1965. He finished the boarding school of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR in Moscow. He has two higher educations.
