The reason for the problem with the internet encountered on the country’s territory is associated with the commercial provider who brings internet in the country, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Transport, Communication, and High Technologies Gunel Gozalova told APA-Economics.
“A number of companies continue their activity in the online mode under the quarantine regime applied on the country’s territory in connection with COVID-19 virus. Moreover, the lessons in the education system are conducted in online mode. In this connection, there is a significant load on the high-speed internet network. Sometimes, a device related to the internet and chosen by a citizen and hardware used at home by a citizen don’t meet the requirements that are toughening in the recent days”, G. Gozalova noted.
She said the damaged cable that passes near the Heydar Aliyev Center on the territory of Baku City was repaired at about 21.00 yesterday.
“Our specialists resumed functioning of the network via another optic cable so that the communication interruption wouldn’t continue until the repair of the cable. The organization which implemented reconstruction works on these territories in the past demolished and destructed all protective coverings being on the cables of both our company and the “Baktelecom” company and the cables actually lost their resilience against damage. The problem which is currently experienced at the “Aztelecom” company is connected with the configuration issue. Although “Aztelecom” has connected to the reserve network by another cable, the experienced problem showed itself just under this emergency situation”, R. Valiyev noted.
