Azerbaijan will sign a regional roaming agreement with countries, which join the Eastern Partnership initiative, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Transport, Communication, and High Technologies told APA-Economics.
Noted that Ministry has been cooperating with telecommunication regulators of both Eastern Partnership countries and European Union (EU) countries closely for many years.
According to the agreement, which will be signed with Eastern Partnership countries, our citizens will be able to benefit from profitable roaming tariffs while visiting Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova in the future. Regional roaming agreement will provide adaptation of legislative basis among six Eastern Partnership countries and significant reductions in roaming prices. Both sound, SMS, and mobile data services are included here. Thus, communication networks will allow roaming customers to use more profitable roaming services in the region,” noted Minister.
