Based on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads is carrying out large-scale construction work to reconstruct road infrastructure in the territories liberated from the occupation of the Armenian armed forces, APA reports.
One of the road infrastructure projects implemented in the liberated territories is the Khudafarin-Gubadli-Lachin and Khanlig-Gubadli highways.
The length of the Khudaferin-Gubadli-Lachin highway, which takes its beginning from part of the Hajigabul-Zangazur corridor highway, passing by the Khudaferin water reserve, will be 66 kilometers. It is also considered the mentioned highway will be separated from the Khanlig residential settlement and a 17-km highway until Gubadli city will be constructed. The total length of the projected roads is 83 kilometers.
New Khudaferin-Gubadli-Lachin and Khanlig-Gubadli highways will pass through territories of Zangilan, Gubadli, and Lachin districts liberated from occupation. The highway will cover more than 30 residential settlements of the mentioned districts including Gubadli and Lachin cities.
