New bridge in Azerbaijani-Russian border to be put into operation in December

The automobile bridge, situated in Azerbaijani-Russian border across the Samur River is planned to be put into operation in the middle of December of this year, Maxim Oreshkin, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation told Moscow-Baku portal, APA-Economics reports.

“I would like to note that we should increase attention to solution of disadvantages in both sides of the border today. A Russian-Azerbaijani joint working group has been established on development of border infrastructure for the issue. An automobile bridge across the Samur River in Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint will help solution of the issue. Works were started since December of 2017, in accordance with the Agreement. The bridge is planned to be put into operation in the middle of December of 2019”, noted Oreshkin.
