Ambassador: Alat and Turkmenbashi ports to change geography of freightage

Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are connected by historical, ethnic and cultural ties, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Mekan Imankuliyev said at a press conference.

He noted that Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan are fraternal countries owning common roots and traditions: ‘This supports to develop our relations more. Our countries are located in a good geography. At the same time, the Silk Road passes through these countries. We’ll continue development of our relations. There are plans and perspectives for this’.

The ambassador said that the ties between Alat and Turkmenbashi ports will change and develop geography of freightage: ‘Our aim is to develop links between Asia and Europe’.
