Heavy rainfall that can cause floods is expected in 14 provinces of Iran

Iran is warned to have heavy rain that can cause the floods in 14 provinces, ONA Tehran bureau reports. Iranian Meteorological organization stated that there will be heavy rain for three days beginning from Friday.

Organization also revealed that these rains can cause serious flood threat.

According to information, heavy rain will happen in Mazandaran, Gulustan, Bushehr, Fars, Gum, Yazd, Isphahan, Hurmuzgan, Kirman, Sistan and Balujistan provinces.

It should be noted that, as a result of the floods that began in the middle of the last month, 1900 districts, settlements and villages in Iran were left under the water and mud. About 80 people were killed and about 800 were injured. Approximately 100,000 were placed in the shelters created by the state. Tens of thousands of animals have died due to flooding of agricultural fields. Heavy rainfall damaged 731,000 hectares of agricultural land in 16 provinces. Damage to the country's infrastructure has exceeded $ 150 million.
