The second radiation maneuver, according to the instructions of the International Atomic Energy Agency, is to be held on Thursday in Boushehr, the home of Iran's nuclear power reactor, said the deputy commander of the Passive Defense Organization (PDO), Brigadier General Ali-Asghar Zare'i, ONA reports citing IRNA.

'The drills aim at increasing coordination between the staff, equipment and machinery in case of an accident,' said Zare'i on Wednesday.

Saying that the drills are held upon the IAEA demand, he added that the first one was held in 2014.

Zare'i said that Boushehr atomic reactor was made according to the IAEA's principles and has been working with good quality until now and the international body has repeatedly reported this fact.

There are no worries about the security of the reactor, but it is still necessary to keep prepared to react in case of an accident, he said.
