UK police have officially announced that they arrested WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange after he left the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, ONA reports quoting UK media.
WikiLeaks has accused Ecuador of illegally terminating Assange's political asylum in violation of international law, leading to his arrest by UK authorities.
"Julian Assange did not "walk out of the embassy". The Ecuadorian ambassador invited British police into the embassy and he was immediately arrested," Wikileaks wrote on Twitter.
