Azerbaijani MP, deputy executive secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Siyavush Novruzov said Tuesday that there is a need to impose strict punishment for violation of the law on internet television channels.
“Random people buy a camera and broadcast abroad whatever they film. For example, they interview someone and ask him to complain about the situation in a certain part of Azerbaijan. Then it turns out that there is no such person living in that part of the country. They did the same during the April operations by spreading lies. We must take some drastic measures in this regard,” said Novruzov addressing a parliamentary meeting.
