There are more than 5,000 registered media outlets in Azerbaijan, Vugar Safarli, executive director of the Fund of State Support for Development of Mass Media under the President of Azerbaijan.
He made the remarks on Wednesday at an event dedicated to July 22 – the National Press Day, APA reports.
The freedom of the press is ensured in Azerbaijan, said Safarli, noting that the state constantly cares about improving the material and technical base of media outlets, and the social situation of journalists.
To date, the state of Azerbaijan has allocated 35 million manat to the Fund of State Support for Development of Mass Media for the improvement of the material and technical base of media outlets.
