The Armenian side has attempted another provocation in the Lachin region field on the Armenian-Azerbaijan border, the Ministry of Defence told APA.

On November 9, at afternoon, about 60 personnel of the Armenian Armed Forces moved in two military trucks in the direction of Lake Garagol in the Lachin region, on the road leading to the positions of the Azerbaijani Army: "In order to deliberately create a military confrontation, the Armenian side tried to strengthen the area by closing the road between the positions of the Azerbaijani Army in this area of the border, using baskets made of metal structures.

Units of the Azerbaijani Army in this direction carried out urgent measures in a short period of time, concentrating additional personnel and military equipment in the area.

As a result of the measures taken, about 60 Armenian servicemen were besieged, all their actions were restricted, and in the morning, taking into account the request of the Russian side, the Azerbaijani military allowed them to return. We state that the next military provocation of the Armenian side has failed.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan states that if similar provocations are repeated in the future, the measures we will take will be more severe and effective.

We hope that the next embarrassment of the Armenian army will be a lesson to him and such provocative steps will not be allowed in the future.

We do not have losses in terms of personnel of the Azerbaijani Army and territory. Currently, the operational condition is under full control of our units. Armenian military-political leadership bears all responsibility for the latest tension on Armenian-Azerbaijani state border.”
