“The situation in various regions of the world once again demonstrates how sensitive is the peace and the stability”, said the Romanian Deputy Chairman of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) Costel Neculai Dunava at the winter session of the organization’s General Committee for Political Affairs and Security held in Vienna, APA reports.
He said the OSCE PA continues its work regarding the conflicts in the OSCE zone.
“The status of relations between the parties to the conflicts in various regions of the world openly demonstrates how fragile and sensitive is the peace. We still continue our work regarding the situation around Ukraine, Nagorno Garabagh, Transnistria, Abkhazia and Southern Osetia. A number of conflicts and crises arisen during the last decades remain unsolved. Our mission as parliamentarians is to create all opportunities so that the people in the OSCE zones experiencing the crises would live far from fear. We represent 57 various countries, and the communities with various cultural and social values. Our differences should do not pose an obstacle to us, but should be used as a means of overcoming the difficulties”, C. N. Dunava noted.
