“We generally appreciate the closed consultations at the UN Security Council in connection with the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan,” Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department for Foreign Policy Affairs of Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told APA.
H. Hajiyev said that the UN Security Council adopted 4 resolutions, which require withdrawal of Armenian Armed Forces from all occupied territories of Azerbaijan in 1993: “Armenia has not executed these resolutions so far. It is firstly disrespect to the Security Council itself.
Members of the Security Council should highlight the issue of importance of execution of these resolutions during relevant discussions. Establishment of peace in the region without execution of Security Council resolutions, withdrawal of Armenian troops from occupied Azerbaijani territories is impossible.”
