It is strange to hear the statement of the US State Department about the importance of sharing information about details of the Karabakh agreement, said Russia’s minister of foreign affairs Sergey Lavrov at the joint press conference dedicated top results of his meeting with the President of the International Red Cross Committee Peter Maurer, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
“It was strange for me to hear this. Frankly speaking, I think that such statements either reflect the fact that the person disseminating these statements is not sufficiently informed or this is just the result of a misunderstanding”, head of Russia’s MFA stressed.
Mr. Lavrov also noted that the US side was informed about everything at the level of deputy secretary of state: “Besides, Russia has closely cooperated from the very beginning with co-chairs of the Minsk Group including the US. During the recent ten days, the Karabakh topic was discussed for the first time with presidents of Russia and France. I also held a discussion with my French counterpart for about one hour”.
