On November 7, 2020, the villages of Barda region situated beyond Azerbaijan’s front-line zone were subjected to intensive rocket and heavy artillery shelling by the Armenian armed forces: “Armenia blatantly violating the existing humanitarian ceasefire, targeting the Azerbaijani civilian population, ignoring the international humanitarian law and its obligations, continues its criminal actions.
Today, as a result of falling of projectile on an individual residential house in Yeni Eyrice village of Barda region, 1 civilian, a teenager aged 16 was killed, thus, the number of the Azerbaijani civilians who were killed as a result of the new aggression started by Armenia against Azerbaijan beginning from September 27 has reached 93.
We strongly condemn the continuation of the policy of aggression and shelling of civilians by Armenia acting in contradiction to norms and principles of international law and demonstrating disrespect to the continuous efforts of the international mediators. In accordance with requirements of the international community including the UN SC resolutions, we demand from Armenia to withdraw its armed forces immediately and unconditionally from the Azerbaijani territories that are still under occupation. The important precondition for ensuring of sustainable peace in the region consists of elimination of the fact of occupation and return of the internally displaced people to their homes”.
