Pakistan is closely following the developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, the statement issued by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Pakistan, APA reports.
"Recent reports of the shelling of civilian settlements in key areas of Azerbaijan, including the cities of Ganja, Tartar and Barda, are very worrying.
Expressing its condolences to the government and people of Azerbaijan, Pakistan urges Armenia to refrain from attacking innocent civilians in violation of international humanitarian law.
"We reaffirm our support for the brotherly people of Azerbaijan in their legal struggle to protect their homeland," the statement said.
