“Killing of peaceful residents in the framework of Nagorno Garabagh conflict concerns Russia”, said official representative of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Maria Zakharova at the briefing held by her today, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
The official of Russia’s MFA commenting on killing of peaceful residents as a result of rocket shelling of Barda region by the Armenian armed forces said she regrets complexity of situation in Nagorno Garabagh conflict zone: “The military confrontation is continued. Under these conditions, we continue our energetic efforts in both national format and in the framework of co-chairs in order to de-escalate the conflict and to start the process of negotiations. The killing of peaceful residents from both sides during the conflict concerns us very much. We have preliminarily tried to cease the fire and to switch over the situation to political and diplomatic plain”.
M. Zakharova also reminded that heads of MFAs of Azerbaijan and Armenia will meet with the co-chairs tomorrow in Geneva.
