Being an element of the former Sargsyan regime, Tigran Balayan is perhaps trying to be extra active seeking promotion in Armenia’s new government, Hikmat Hajiyev, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
Hajiyev was commenting on his Armenian colleague Tigran Balayan’s statement that Azerbaijan’s policy in respect of Nagorno-Karabakh will end up in a fiasco.
“[Tigran Balayan] is still unaware that the current crisis Armenia is experiencing is the result of the Sargsyan regime’s policy, as well as the continuation of the aggression and occupation against Azerbaijan. If the new Armenian government is going to pursue the same policy, they’re likely to have the same fate,” the spokesman said.
Hajiyev emphasized that national leader prevented the Armenian aggression on Azerbaijan and the country entered a development phase.
“Today, Azerbaijan is a regional leader thanks the successful government model under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership,” he added.
